Megaloh And Octopizzo Concert At The Goethe Institute Set For 13th October

Under the auspices of the Goethe-Institute, Megaloh and Ghanaian Stallion will be bringing this music to five African cities in October 2017: Kampala (Uganda), Kigali (Rwanda), Harare (Zimbabwe), Nairobi (Kenya) and Kinshasa (Congo).
At a time in which African beats rule the whole pop music world and are breaking down one border after another, it’s all coming full circle for them personally, too. Their tour represents the culmination of a long search for answers as well as a vibrant expression of a newfound Afropean identity. Music that is extremely personal and yet global, in step with the times. With no finger-pointing, no compromises, no ifs or buts. But with plenty of larger-than-life swag.

At our Nairobi Concert on Friday, the 13th of October, Megaloh will be performing alongside local artist Octopizzo from Kibera, who established himself successfully in the hip hop scene over the past few years, recording three albums and performing with Kenyan as well as international artists, such as Dead Prez (USA), Blak Twang (UK) or Jua Cali (Kenya).

He has won various hip hop freestyle competitions in Kenya and performed at a variety of venues including WAPI (Words and Pictures), Sprite Challenge, Ghetto Radio Serious Request, Translating Hip Hop (Goethe Institute), International Hip Hop Summit, Grand National Peace Concerts, Global Development of Peaceful Environments, as well as several university, charity, and HIV Awareness concerts.
